Art with Heart...

When my sister Jeanne came to visit with her BFF Angie in early August, we had a blast. Lots of shopping, crafting, eating, hanging on the screened in porch, and laughing until we cried.

Angie had a quilt project she wanted some help with so we spent one day sewing. You have to see what Angie has taken on...

Angie took the artwork of her kids, traced it on a neutral background, embroidered it, bordered it with a cute jelly roll... and now she has a quilt with her kids art!

Here is a close look at one of Chandler's blocks.

But here is the kicker... Angie has 2 sets of twins. So, Angie is making 4 quilts. The above quilt belongs to Chandler. The quilt below is Charlotte's.

Here is a close up of one of Charlotte's blocks.

Angie wanted help tying these quilts, but I convinced her to have them professionally machine quilted. In the meantime, Angie is back at home working on the quilts for Max and Mason. I think she has the embroidery done. She is also working on a prayer quilt for her church - complete with embroidered blocks!

Isn't she something!

Very very cute! And good for you that you talked her into machine quilting -- much better in this case!

The childrens artwork is so adorable and the bright sashing around each one is perfect...just so cute.
