Happy National Quilting Day...

In addition to St. Patrick's Day,

it is National Quilting Day. 

How are you celebrating?  We went out last night for what my friend Mary calls "St. Practice Day".  Today was filled with knitting and basketball.

The Party Favors...

Last week, Mary, DeAnne and I got together and made the party favors and name tags for the tea.

The outside of the favor read "The Perfect Blend" followed by the names of the happy couple and the wedding date.

The inside of the favor has two pockets, perfect for inserting tea bags.

And I was thrilled to find this tea to put inside.

Time for Tea...

A group of friends and I had a tea this afternoon for our dear friend Jane's daughter-in-law to be, Kasey.

We had tea and champagne punch.

Mary made salmon and dill sandwiches and olive and nut sandwiches. 

Joyce made cucumber sandwiches and egg salad sandwiches.

Maureen made Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti and Raspberry Shortbreads.

DeAnne brought French Macarons.

Sandra made a pretty tray of vegetables and dip.  The table was lovely.

Kasey and Stephen were showered with gifts.

Kasey is holding up the apron I made her as a shower gift.

Party Favors

It was the perfect day.

More Socks...

I finished my Malabrigo socks.  I love knitting with Malabrigo!

I finished Mom's birthday socks.

I have the first sock of my 6th pair this year on my needles.  And now you know why my friends call me a serial knitter.
